We will take it from here.

We are retired people in Cherokee County who spend our days with older neighbors who want to stay in their own homes. If you have a client who needs company, a reliable ride, real meals or a hand around the house, we would be glad to hear from you.

“A familiar face at the same time each week is what holds a plan together.”

What you should know before you refer

“Social workers should know that we provide compassionate care, dignity of the client remaining in the comfort of their own home, and families can feel confident that their loved one is being cared for by people who understand the needs of seniors.”

Neal Dunoff, Seniors Helping Seniors, LLC

  • Compassionate care

Not clinical and not rushed. Company and everyday help from someone who is glad to be there.

  • Dignity at home

The client stays in the comfort of their own home, on their own street, with their own things around them.

  • Families can feel confident

Their loved one is cared for by people who understand the needs of seniors — because they are seniors themselves.

Retirees helping other retirees

Seniors Helping Seniors, LLC is not a home health agency and not a staffing service. We are a small group of retired people from this community who were not finished being useful.

That distinction matters for your clients. The person who turns up is their own age, remembers the same decades, raised a family on the same roads, and knows what it feels like to need a little help and to hate asking for it. In our experience, that is what gets a reluctant client to open the door — and what keeps them opening it.

What we do is the everyday, non-clinical help that lets someone stay home safely: company, rides, meals, light housekeeping and medication reminders. Hourly, daily or weekly, arranged around what your client will actually accept. When a situation needs a nurse, a therapist or a lift, we say so plainly and we tell you — we never stretch beyond what we are.

We are caring seniors wanting to pay it forward.

What we can help a referred client with

Available hourly, daily or weekly — one of these or a mix of all five. There is no package to buy and no minimum to reach.

We are not clinical.

No nursing, wound care, physical therapy or help with transfers — and we will tell you the moment a client needs something we cannot provide.

All five in detail

How to refer, in three steps

No portal to register for, no fax number, no account to set up. If it is easier to pick up the phone and tell us about the person, that works just as well.

  1. 01

    Get in touch

Use the form on this page or call us. Name, the town they are going home to, and what you are worried about is enough to start.

  2. 02

    We talk through their needs

We contact your client or their family, usually the same day, and go through what would actually help — what they can still do easily and where they are struggling.

  3. 03

    We arrange the help

We match them with a caregiver from their own community, agree the days and times, and start visiting. Then we come back to you with how it is going.

We follow up with your client or their family, usually the same day.

What to include in a referral

This is the whole list. You do not need a chart, a medication list or a care plan — we will gather the details ourselves when we sit down with your client.

Anything you do not have yet, leave blank. A referral with a first name and a town is still a referral we can act on.
